Ironwood Gourmet Acacia Salt Pig

In days gone by salt didn't come pre-packaged in containers - the coarse grains were stored in a cellar or "pig", sometimes hung on a wall near the cooking area where a pinch or two could easily be accessed. Use this generous sized wooden salt pig to store and serve sea and coarse salt.
Made from Acacia wood, a non-endangered species, which is not harvested from the rain forests.
